At UEA, we are always looking for ways to reduce our quoting time to customers. Hydraulic swivel quotes are no exception. Several key pieces of information are required to produce an efficient, accurate quote.
UEA has designed an RFQ form to help with this process. It can be found here. The form will walk you through the information needed. Everything from number of passages, port size, operating pressure and flow can easily be filled in on the form. Details such as environmental conditions, size restrictions, RPM, and duty cycle are included. The more information you can provide, the better. The main thing to remember is we are always available to help you through the RFQ if questions arise, or if you are not sure how to proceed.
Once the RFQ is submitted, UEA will assign an engineer to the project who will complete a design drawing. To continue with the quote, the engineer works with machine operators to determine machining times at the same time quotes for materials are sent out. All this information is compiled in the RFQ quote book. Next, customer service meets with engineering for a review meeting to discuss any outstanding details. The quote, along with an approval drawing, is now sent to the customer.
As you can see, hydraulic swivel quotes require several steps. UEA is constantly working to shorten quote times, and with your help, we will get your quote to you in a timely manner.
