UEA would like to welcome Grant Jensen to the Customer Service Department. Grant has been with the company for six years and has an interesting path leading to this latest position as customer service representative.
Grant's career started just a few hundred feet north of UEA in what is now known as the UEA North Plant. Back in 1971, the building was owned by United Hydraulics and Grant began work assembling hydraulic cylinders. He later set up and ran the first computer for United Hydraulics.
In 1973, Grant began working for Lutheran Mutual, which later became CUNA Mutual Life Insurance Company, and spent the next 33 years working in IT. Overall Grant has worked in IT in one form or another for 42 years. In 2007, seven months after his retirement from CUNA, he began a new career at UEA. He worked in IT and has worn several hats during this time.
Grant's experience with our current ERP system has allowed him to provide valuable information to customer service and will be a huge help as we look toward our new ERP implementation in the near future. His understanding of part numbers and product knowledge will be instrumental in continuing the UEA customer service level our customers have come to expect.
