United Equipment Accessories (UEA) continues to grow our 3D printing capabilities, allowing us to meet our customer’s application requirements. Our investment in 3D printing technology enables us to quickly create slip ring prototypes and improve our flexibility and lead times for specific slip ring parts. Our fleet of printers continues to expand, and we needed a better space to accommodate the printers. As part of our slip ring production expansion, we added a dedicated additive manufacturing room.
Our new additive manufacturing room allows for dedicated space for all our production printers. Having a separate area for the 3D printers allows us to control the ambient temperature and humidity for better print quality. The room is larger than what we need for our current number of printers, but it will allow us space to grow our additive manufacturing and production capabilities.
Our 3D printing fleet continues to allow us to quickly create prototypes and custom slip ring parts for our customers. We currently offer 3D printed slip ring covers, parts, and mounting. With the addition of 3D printing, UEA can design and manufacture slip ring parts and accessories to meet unique design challenges.
Our new additive manufacturing space is part of our slip ring building expansion. Our expansion project began close to two years ago and has allowed us to consolidate all our slip ring assembly under one roof. This expansion added 29,000 square feet to our facility. It will enable us to serve all our customers better and has created additional production space for our slip ring and rotary union product lines.
