United Equipment Accessories (UEA) team members Jesse Shearer, Thor Larson and Nick Addington recently attended the AWEA Windpower Conference in Chicago from May 7-10. UEA was one of 450 exhibitors and the event brought in 7,600 attendees from 50 countries.
Each year, AWEA attracts several large and small turbine manufacturers from around the world and is a great way to make connect with them all in one place. It’s also a chance for UEA to showcase our new and existing product lines to potential customers.
This is the 14th year that UEA has attended and exhibited at this conference, highlighting our wind turbine slip ring products for the ever-growing industry. This year we showcased a couple of new slip ring designs for both OEM’s and the aftermarket. One slip ring we exhibited included a fiber optic rotary joint, which is becoming a growing trend on wind slip rings.
We also take advantage of the chance it gives us to connect in-person with several of our component suppliers and see new products they may have.
In addition to showcasing our wind turbine products and connecting with suppliers, current and new customers, we also spend time learning the newest trends and insights in the industry to see what’s coming and to plan for how we can continue to bring the best products to our customers in wind.
This has been a valuable event for UEA to attend and one that we will continue to attend as long as this industry continues to grow! We’re already excited to exhibit at next year’s conference, which will take place in in Houston and is expected to be even bigger than this year!
