A. Center Harness Connections

Should be as short as possible to prevent rubbing on slip ring cover. Optional rubbing disk for spun aluminum covers protects against abrasion on assemblies with limited wire space.

B. Brush Harness Connections

Terminal connection must be completely covered by sleeve. Standard sleeving is not heat shrinkable.

C. Set Screws

Should be tightened securely at 45 - 55 in. - lbs. (5.1 - 6.2 Newton/Meters) to mounting tube.

D. Mounting Tubes

1.5" (38.1mm) ID bearing accepts 1.496" (38.0mm) to 1.492" (37.9mm) diameter tube.

Optional environmental seal/bearing for inverted mounting accepts 1.496" (38.0mm) to 1.492" (37.9mm) diameter tube.

Optional oil-impregnated bronze bearing for high ambient temperature application accepts 1.5" (38.1mm) diameter tube.

E. Base/Drive Pins

Should not be tightly fastened. Slip ring turning boss is tapped to 1/2 - 13 U.N.C. thread. Pin into tapped hole must be allowed to "float" on opposite end for Model S15A. .50" (12.7mm) DIA. drive pins recommended to turn base for Model S150.
